Kiley

Kiley is my first ever roommate and then became one of my super close friends. We have a super good routine while living together and know how to share and respect our shared space which I think is super important. Every morning we have class at the same time so we wake up and get ready together while drinking coffee.

While we get along easily because of our shared sense of style and love for instagram, I think what really makes us close is that we share similar values. We both value honesty and being open with each other and our other friends and not holding things against one another. We hype each other up while getting ready to go out on the weekends, help pick out our outfits together, and share clothes.

I grew up with two brothers and Kiley grew up with one brother so while neither of us have ever lived with another girl I think it also adds to why we are such a good match as roommates.

We met through the University of Dayton class of 2023 Facebook page last summer and got coffee together at Owl and Lark, a cute coffee shop near both of our houses at home. We instantly hit it off with our shared love of coffee and eating healthy and decided to become roommates a week later.

First semester of freshman year was a lot for both of us to adjust to but I am glad that we did it together because she is someone that I value advice from greatly and is very easy for me to talk openly with. While we aren’t sure yet if we will be living together next year, I am so glad that we roomed together freshman year and had a great experience.
