I met Erin here at UD on move in day at our mandatory floor meeting. She and her roommate Lindsey live six rooms down from me and my roommate. Erin is from Rochester, NY and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Over new student orientation we hung out in a larger group of girls from our floor which ended up dividing into two smaller groups, Erin and I being in the same one.
Erin and her roommate Lindsey introduced my roommate Kiley and I to all of their other friends and now we have one big friend group that is constantly having fun together. Last Wednesday was Erin’s birthday and we surprised her by decorating her bedroom after she left for class in the morning and surprising her when she came back home in the afternoon.
Erin is one of the easiest people to talk to and I feel like I can confide in her my thoughts and emotions and I know she feels the same way towards me. She is such a strong person and has endured a lot in life which makes her super empathetic towards all our friends and everyone feels like they can talk to her easily.
When my roommate Kiley was going through a difficult time first semester, Erin would encourage us all to go to church or reconciliaiton together and support Kiley and eachother. I know that if I am ever struggling or having a hard time that Erin will be someone I feel comfortable turning towards because of her kindness and compassion towards everyone.
