I have known Hannah since dance class in fourth grade and then we ended up going to middle school together in 6th grade. She was most definitely in the popular crowd with all the volleyball girls who knew each other from competitive cheer outside of school and my friend group had been the same five or six of us since fourth grade who weren’t uncool but definetly weren’t popular.
Hannah and I became friends throughout junior and senior year when our grade became super close planning all the senior activities we wanted to do before graduation. I had been friends with her friends but me and her were never close. Senior year we hung out more and more and became close friends.
I have so many memories from senior year going over to Hannah’s house and doing face masks the night before prom, or sleepovers after school dances, or just a movie night with the girls. Hannah is one of the funniest people and being around her is always a good time.
The two of us share a love of fashion and celebrities such as the Kardashians and Paris Hilton. Hannah was roasted at the senior breakfast for being the most like the movie character Regina George and I was roasted for being Barbie.
During this quarantine we have been zooming in our friend group several times a week and I feel like if anything our friend group together is closer now than ever. Both Hannah and I were super busy in high school and did hang out together as much as we wish we could have but now that we can’t do anything, we can talk more often.
